All-out golden-era Integrity/Ringworm worship from Boston. Living Hell are obviously influenced by the classic records (The Promise, For Those Who Fear Tomorrow, In Contrast of Sin etc.). It’s great to hear this sound done well today, as most imitations seem to fall flat. Detuned guitars, heavy as shit riffs, pissed throaty vocals! Some really well done fast bits separate them from the pack here too. Unfortunately dwindles a little around the middle of the record but it picks up the slack before too long. Probably the best 90s-style hardcore LP I’ve heard since Creatures’ ‘I, Lucifer’ in 2009. Do not dismiss this as meathead bullshit. Play loud as shit.
