Yes! This is great stuff! It took over a year since it was announced, but the latest offering from these Portuguese emo dudes is finally out!
This is kind of different from their splits with Syn Error and End of a Year, mainly the vocals. The harsh, more screamo side of things have gone. Instead the vocals are sung throughout. Overall the whole thing is softer and more melodic, which definitely works in their favour. The vocals in particular are outstanding, floating perfectly over the constant drum rolls, and soaring guitar melodies. None of the intensity of the earlier releases has gone, quite the opposite. This 7″ seems more personal, the recording is very clean and gives it a very genuine sound. The lyrics are excellent, and only add to the energy and honesty of these songs.
The influences are obvious, but at no time does this take away from the strength of the songs, and if anything the amalgamation of these influences has led to quite a unique sound. One that Adorno have absolutely nailed on this 7″. Bring on the upcoming releases!
Lovely Stuff.
