the Volitains - Underground - CD (2010)

I really don’t have much to stay about this. Disposable, grungey alt-rock. The production is weird. I like the occasionally loopy female vocals, which at their best remind me a tiny bit of Sceptres, but the music is kind of a wash out. There’s a bit of electro, and a lot of buzzing angry guitars. It’s noisy, but in quite a tame way, if you know what I mean? It feels intensely plodding, and though there are plenty of layers, they are all piled neatly on top of each other like your mum leaving your recently ironed washing on your bed. Passable.
