the Exhibition - The Crown - CD (2010)

Labels: self released
Review by: Ted Reynolds

I was sort of enjoying this, I’m a sucker for singers with northern accents, and the a side was quite good minimal sounding, interesting morose indie. I suppose a sprinkle of Snow Patrol, and a sugaring of Interpol, and pretty good overall. Unnecessary guitar solo though! Why bother putting that in? And its all produced perfectly I reckon, it sounds great and not unnatural at all. Then I listened to the B side, realised that it reminded me of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and fell into a deep depression. Bin.
