Labels: Danger Laser Phaser Razor – Holy Roar
Review by: Kunal Nandi
Two geezers with beards and a lady on drums make a nice line in wiry punk that’s all up in your face with drunken sloppiness, but secretly they’re hiding some nasty focus that gets unleashed at just the right times. It’s good time garage fun mixed in with proper noisiness, all in fine balance. If you think along the lines of Born Against, Dead Inside and Nation Of Ulysses, while channelling the mighty guitar spirit of Chris Hamley (Circus Lupus, Monorchid), you’re on the right track. I’m chucking out a lot of band comparisons there, maybe because Guilty Parents don’t quite sound like their own entity right now, but I think you’ll agree that list is pretty much unfuckwithable. More please.
