Exalt Cycle - Evasion Therapy - CD (2010)

Labels: self released
Review by: David Giles

Holy shit, this is bad. Exalt Cycle are, true to their promo sheet, like a blend between Slipknot, Trivium and Bullet for my Valentine. That is, Slipknot without the angst & Trivium without that “˜we love thrash metal riffing’ gimmick that all the kids who have never listened to Anthrax banged on about in the ten minutes that they were famous. The Bullet for my Valentine reference is probably the strongest, from what I remember of them from the thirty seconds of one of their music videos that I saw (right before I decided that TV wasn’t for me). Genuinely, this is more music that appeals exclusively to idiots and family-members. If you have time to waste, listen to something better than this. No reason to even try. I’ve taken the bullet for you. No-one else should have to suffer.
