Hostage Calm - s/t - CD (2010)

Labels: Run for Cover
Review by: james pacanowski

The last time I heard Hostage Calm, they were a melodic hardcore band in the vein of all things Yemin. Apparently that band was eaten by Panic At The Disco. I would give kudos to them for trying to do something different (powerpop with latino-style percussion) but instead what you get is Fall Out Boy jamming with the band that writes the muzak that gets played in elevators. Or maybe if Saves The Day covered the Sex and the City theme tune. Avoid.
