Aw God, I’ve requested another folk rock album. TCOR sound like a ton of other bands playing really pedestrian indie-rock or folk-rock or whatever the living fuck you want to call it. Its not as bad or as good as other stuff I’ve heard. Complete middle-of-the-road stuff. I feel like I should be doing something more productive than listening to something like this. I realise there is a trend of very trendy hipster art school students who enjoy a load of “folk revival’ that doesn’t really have much to do with folk music or reviving anything. This might appeal to the less socially-conscious of them who don’t really care if their friends think the music they pretend to LOVE is rad or not. Probably not to the “I ONLY LISTEN TO THE CREAM OF THE CROP CROWD’ though”¦ they’ll stick to fucking Laura Marling etc. no doubt. Skip the pretense and play us a beatdown, boys!
