This is a top notch release “” four of the best touring hardcore bands in the UK on one (ok, two) records, and one of my favourite 7″s of 2010.

It’s more than likely that if you’re into hardcore in the UK you’ve seen at least one or two of these bands on a couple of occasions over the last year or two so no real descriptions or lazy “˜sounds likes’ are needed; you know these bands are great.

Although the bands share obvious similarities in sound, which makes sense considering most of them share members, you can just as easily tell each band from the other, which is always nice to hear on a hardcore record with more than just the one band on.

The overall tone of the record is incredibly bleak, summed up perfectly in the record’s cover; a black and white picture of a group of workers stood outside an old slaughterhouse. It’s so far proven to be a decent soundtrack to the beginning of our wonderful new government. Very fast. Very slow. Very angry.

Quit your crying about Never Again breaking up. UK hardcore rules!

Essential.
