This is basically loads like The Fall. That’s no bad thing though. And as the press release says, yes there is a sprinkle of Pavement and that other lo-fi business.
I found it roughly enjoyable. It didn’t make me ejaculate with joy, like Public Enemy, but it didn’t make me want to tear at my own throat in an effort to stop the pain of say The Libertines. And its better than average. Theres yr tagline -‘quite alot better than average’ – its a good one, eh?
