Having discovered a press sheet which waffled about bands that had recorded in the same studio, and weaved enough pretension to make me consider skipping this one altogether I braced myself. First track…these guys have been listening to Radiohead! SURPRISE! On later tracks they add a dash of post rock to the Ok Computer/Kid A hybrid but nothing else. Why can’t people rip off The Bends? I learnt to play guitar to that record but everyone wants to drift around having feelings about everything instead of rocking out. Anyway. Gash.
