The opener, “Don’t Come Close To Me’, is all the right things: jaggy bass, thundering fast guitar over the top, grooves without being 2-steppy. First band that comes to mind by way of comparison is Formaldehyde Junkies but it’s probably also worth mentioning Void for good measure. Really good. The second track kicks off in the same way although a bit faster before hitting a groove again. Catchy without being catchy. Then the last few seconds tear whatever groove there is apart. Track three, “Refuse’ isn’t too far off Sick Fix to these ears. It feels like each song is getting me to the point where I’m about to say “more fast/thrashcore’ then switches it up. A few times this also had me thinking of grindier bands although this isn’t heavy. Real mash-up of sounds. Maybe even a little Cult Ritual in here somewhere. I enjoyed this 7”, although it was over in a heartbeat.
