Connecticut noisy punk with members of the legitimately horrendous The World is a Beautiful Place & I am No Longer Afraid to Die. It plays out a ton better than a [I’m not writing it again] record “” distorted almost-hardcore with weirdo jamming riffs, all-over-the-place (although not mathy or twiddly “” thank God!) breakouts and build-ups and even a little octave-strumming screamo-in-2006 at times “” which, although usually a nightmare, is sort of welcome here. Nice enough example of the noisy weirdo punk thing that I can’t stop reviewing. Definitely worth a listen although I reckon an LP full of it would send you off the rails. The description that made me check it out is “Drunkdriver covering korn”. Maybe, in the better moments of this demo, that isn’t as tongue in cheek as it was no doubt intended. I say check this out but, given the member’s part played in The Band That Is So Awful That I Am No Longer Afraid To Die, there’s a good chance that this EP is a near-bullseye by a blindfolded idiot. I hope I’m proven wrong about that.
