Coma Regalia is a screamo band from Indiana, USA from what a quick google search tells me. The tape comes in a nice little fold out box.

Screamo is always a hard one to review, especially when there is nothing new to report, like here. It’s screamo, basically. That can be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on where you’re standing on the genre.

There’s some great moments, like the sample on the second track erupting into all over the place screamo madness, or the slow build and lovely guitar line at the end of the last song that weaves in and out over shouted vocals before coming to a close. However, the large majority of it leaves me a little cold. It’s not bad at all, and if you’re into more modern screamo bands, Coma Regalia are definitely worth checking out and much better than lot of bands peddling screamo at the moment. I just find it hard to have my mind blown by music like this anymore, and it’s rare that anything new comes close to matching the heights of the records that got me into this stuff.
