This is fucking awesome! Four minutes of searing, heads-down, teeth-gritted 80s hardcore that sprang from an uber-limited demo tape and can now be found on a slightly-less-limited slice of vinyl. Each track stares unblinkingly at the finish line, the bass plugging remorselessly away while guitars tear in and out and a breathless Dave Brown shrieks his fucking guts up to make for three unhinged yet savagely catchy tracks that’ll be manna from heaven for fans of the F.U.’s and Jerry’s Kids. Given the commitments of those involved I guess Deaf Mutations’ long-term career prospects might be a bit uncertain, so enjoy it while it lasts and cross yer fingers that somewhere along the way those involved might find the time to squeeze out another few similarly brilliant minutes of blazing hardcore intensity…
