Hooray! Another melodic punk band writing mid-paced 3 minute songs with around 1 minute worth of parts in them and awkwardly rhymed lyrics. ’87’ is the standout track here, however as I move from that track (4) into the remaining 4 I am unable to maintain attention and wind up skipping through the songs from increasingly early points. Except for track 7 ‘Clever’ which is anything but – it is an atrocious folk/country/punk mess. A hate crime in music. This lay under the coffee table for so long these guys probably have another record out. Hopefully it will have fewer songs, which are both shorter and better. Not awful, but not quite average either. I’m going to try and arrange a swap deal so I can give this away and put some King Blues records in my bin instead.
