Taut, crisply-played yet vaguely punchless screamo/post-hardcore from these Norwegian sorts. ‘A New Dawn’ is solid and straightforward, ploughing on with its head down and offering a nice enough slice of action that’s caught mid-way between Kaospilot and Light The Fuse And Run. No surprises, but not too much to complain besides a slight lack of gusto. ‘Skin Deep’ starts off a bit different, propelled by a wibbly guitar line and draped with some mark-missing melodic vocals before heading into screamier territory and rounding off a 7″ that’s certainly agreeable but most likely won’t be enough to incline many towards checking out the rest of the band’s backcatalogue.
