Ugly as the back end of a bus hardcore punk. Despite having a name like a tr00 corpsepainted band this bunch are more crust than kvlt (but there is room for a jawdropping black metal riff on the last song), and they smacked me around the face over and over again on this suffocating five song cassette. Yes, cassette. The format fits their old fashioned sound perfectly, which is basically 15 minutes of nasty, claustraphobic, unrelenting anger. It’s an oversaturated genre this but they mix things up a bit with blastbeats, breakdowns and a strong metal core (no I do not mean metalcore). The sub-minute ‘Nobody’ stands out for me, but everything here is solid as a rock. Definitely recommended for those who like it filthy, and I don’t mean you, brosteppers.
