Is that meant to be Raptor Jesus on the cover? I think so. Concave play dual vocalled hardcore and it is pretty straightforward but relentless. At times it reminds me of American Nightmare/Give Up The Ghost, which makes me reminisce fondly. Maybe Indecision too to some extent. Okay okay, I may be namedropping hardcore bands that I used to listen to that have very tenuous links to this. The dual vocals work well and are at the forefront of the music. But it just gets a bit too repetive for me overall, bordering on breakdowns (I’m not entirely sure how to describe the guitar sound to be honest) a lot of the time and not retaining my interest. A nice try and a bunch of hardcore fans will be into this; for the rest of us, some more work is definitely needed to make the music stand out more.
