Pretty sure I have a Post Teens tape in my car, in fact, maybe it’s the same songs as this. I should probably check. Anyway, this is 6 songs of high octane garage punk, everything is super short and done and dusted in a hurry. It’s nothing absurdly original, but the shit is pretty catchy in a Marked Men fashion. Just at this stage, Post Teens don’t really stand out from a pretty jam-packed crowd of other bands that have made similar music at any point since people picked up guitars and played them fast, sloppily, and shouted a bit. These guys have a pretty rock solid parade of other bands they have been in and clearly know exactly what they’re doing, and I suspect at a show, you’d be fucking loving it… it’s just that, you know, this single is solid without being spectacular. If you live for blown out, melodic garage punk rock then you will probably be highly entertained by this, and the frenzied blast of final track “We Don’t Like You” is righteous, but overall it doesn’t quite scale the heights that I require from a record in order for it to be a keeper, I’m afraid.
