If you think the UK punk scene is dying a death, you should remove your head from your bottom and wrap your lugholes around this little beauty.
Lich are mashed almost to breaking point, making a blackened, evil racket that is tuned so low, cranked so loud, with a stack of time changes coming straight at your head that the needle barely stays in the grooves. The thrashy, banshee-wail bits give way to absolutely slamming moments of pure CHUN satisfaction. Shit be raw and cathartic.
Man Hands make a great counterpoint, with their bass-free 625Thrash-ist fastcore coming correct and running rings around most bands that try and do this kind of thing. It’s bright, clear and catchy and while the tone is firmly in the funtime camp, it’s not throwaway.
