Sundowners - s/t - 7

This a solid 7inch from these guys from Minneapolis. There are 4 tracks of garagey punk on here – catchy and melodic without being overly poppy. There is a slice of indie rock thrown in too and they don’t stick around too long – 4 tracks in just over 8 minutes. The 4 songs are fast-paced without going flat out. I think there are 2 of them doing vocals and it’s slightly messy – only very slightly though, and messy in a way that I like. The bass guitar is pretty cool too and quite prominent throughout. This is a consistent set of songs. The last one (“CN-END”) is probably the best one on here but they are all decent. Can I say they sound a little like Get Bent? I’m going to say that. They sound a little like Get Bent. I think if you liked them then Sundowners will likely appeal to you. Good stuff. They have apparently been around for a few years and I hear they have previously released an album too so will be checking that out shortly.
