I’m taken back to the 90’s, The Young remind me of the slightly psych (which I suppose would be that touch of shoegaze) part of Britpop, or perhaps a bit further back to ‘Madchester’ (thats a word that makes me feel a bit sick to write). It has parts that remind me of The Charlatans, or the Inspiral Carpets, going up to a more drifty less thuggish Oasis. There’s nothing wrong with it at all. I think it may be more of a grower, it doesn’t have instant excitement with it, but it sounds like it would get better with time. Yeah, so it’s not shit.
