What springs to mind straight away with Crocodile God (great name by the way) is the Beatnik Termites. In fact, I’m having a hard time convincing myself that the singer of both bands is not the same person. OK after a few tracks I am. I love how lots of pop punk bands have kept going for years and years; CG caught the bug in ’92 and have kept it up ever since.
The band fly through 10 songs in 21 minutes (three are live songs). There are some standouts, particularly the opening song ‘Emotional Blackmail’ which has hints of early Greenday? But overall the album is solid but lacks enough substance to make me want to replay it.
