This band actually appear to still use Myspace. ‘The Brawl’ is a sort of concept album, with all the songs being about conflict of sorts. They describe themselves as ‘rock-noise-punk-hardcore’ – it’s a fair attempt since there’s no obvious one sound, a good thing considering the lack of inventiveness that pervades hardcore. I’ve said it before but Italian hardcore bands are often some of the most innovative bands around.
There’s definitely plenty of metal elements going on here too. I can’t actually get a grip on the music. It’s like when I reviewed Zeus! a few years back and spent most of the time trying to work out what was going on. It perhaps treds the line between Arab On Radar and The Infarto Scheisse. But I’m now nearing the end of the record and still wondering what I’m meant to get out of it. You really should check this out if you like experimentaion within punk but it’s certainly a bit too out there for most people.
