This is the solo project of one bloke from Winchester who set this up to help alleviate his suffering from tinnitus which can make sleeping difficult. This is some lovely and sumptuous ambient stuff. I think it could also be called neo-classical as I have seen it described in that way elsewhere. It’s very non-intrusive and minimalist. There are almost no beats although I can hear a faint cymbal in the opening track, “A Quiet Day”, and a drum appears on the closing track. There appear to be other instruments throughout (including violin, piano, synthesizer, drums) which are all processed through a computer. There is also a background voice-over in “Storm Fronts Collide” and field recordings faintly appear on other tracks. As far as references go I am a long way from expert in this type of music but my uninformed self thinks that if you like things like Eluvium you might like this. I can’t fault this – it’s really quite blissful and relaxing. I would also agree that it’s conducive to getting a good night’s sleep. If you like this there is plenty more material out there as he has been rather prolific – check his Bandcamp page out.
