Regular visitors to this website may recall my review of this outfit’s previous release, “Mera Jivan Tere Hiwale Prabhu” in which I spoke of how it had deposed numbers 1-5 in my “all-time top five albums” list.
Well here’s the follow up to that barnstormer and I’m glad to say that the quality control over at Somebhajans Central remains as high as ever as this album scores another perfect ten from me.
Lots of fun while listening certainly and a positive review to follow is definite. Let’s look at some numbers:
“Thriller” by Michael Jackson “” 9 songs “” 60 million copies sold.
“Der Weg Nach Innen” by Somebhajans “” 18 songs “” 120 million copies sold ??????
I am looking forward for one to where the moment is when the news of greatness of this album is managed to be recovered by everyone in the world.
I can’t understand a single word on this album as it appears to be a dizzying mix of Hindi and German with a generous helping of mouth noises and body sounds thrown in for good measure, but one thing is certain, it’s a rollicking good listen which deserves to be “Album of the Month” in the Collectivezine charts.
I’ve done my bit – what about you ?
