Crocodile God - Two Weeks - CD (2007)

Labels: Crackle
Review by: Oli Saunders

Crocodile God, we meet again. I’d really like to see this band live, I would be wholly confident that I would be nodding my head to their set. This CD combines a bunch of records previously only released on vinyl (except two). Filling up the whole CD with 78 minutes of music, that ain’t bad value. There are, however, only a few standouts with lots of filler: Kamarrah is a great start but the rest of the 7” that it is from leaves me flat. The five songs from the Boss 7” raise the bar, definitely striding into Greenday territory. ‘Outta Water’ is excellent, and later on ‘Really Short’ is too, flying by in less than a minute. Things start to drag from then on, I mean, 45 songs from any one band is a lot to take in one go. Just a bit samey on the whole but fans of the Buzzcocks and the like probably won’t complain.
