Mad, spleen-rupturing grindcore from these Aussie stalwarts that lasts a mere 19 minutes but does no end of damage in that short space of time. Everything’s pushed as far as it can possibly go and is perpetually in the red, from the madcap clatter of the drums to the constant, murderous YARRRRRRRRRRGHHHH!!!!!!!! of the vocals. Special mention has to go to the evil guitarwork that’s almost an impenetrable blur but retains enough vicious crispness for you to detect plenty of roiling, hyperspeed thrash riffing “” a nice change from the customary blur of distorted noise so many bands use to disguise a lack of song-writing chops. This knack for a riff lends things an ever-shifting undercurrent, putting a clear stamp on each song despite the breakneck pace and ensuring even the Slayer cover doesn’t seem out of place. Nice work, you bloody maniacs.
