This is a split 7inch from two trios from Brooklyn. I have reviewed Low Fat Getting High before and this is certainly a step up from what I have previously heard from this band. Their track “Lacoste” is a grungey post punk number and is their best song to date. Whereas their previous songs have been more garagey, this one has a strong influence of 90s grunge in the riffing and vocals. The B side features a noise rock band called The Black Black. Their track “One Blunt Death Party” is a bit lighter – more post punk with a bit of a groove thing going on and somewhat sneery vocals backed by yelling from the bass player. These bands are well-matched for a split record.
