Was stoked to get this one in the post after hearing their other impressive single, and this totally lives up to expectations. We get four more expulsions of moody post-hardcore, songs that wander by in a less than perky fashion but delivering all the precise guitar sounds and moments that I love to hear from a band playing this type of music. For example, “Yelling Wild” has these lovely little twinkly guitars that glisten prettily, very Van Pelt-esque, it also has these fantastic sections where they drop everything way back into the distance before bouncing back vibrantly. This song is a real delight, about as spot on a creation of the kind of music that I get most excited about. You can say that for most of this single to be honest, it delivers in spades with gently swaying guitars and a subtle delivery. Nothing bombastic or over the top here, just massively good indie rock that is emo in the same way that something like Boys Life was emo. I would love to see this band live. Come to the UK and lose thousands of dollars in the process.
