Labels: self released
Review by: Kimmi
Noiseless is the first release I have heard from Foxxes. It’s a
3-song ep full of emotion and desperation. At moments, you feel as
though things have ended. Then with a battered heart, you find you
are picking yourself up, facing and embracing what you have lost. Let
Me drown speaks of wanting to let go… There’s no point in going on,
and it’s no one’s fault but your own. “This world wasn’t meant for me”
is blasted at the end, leaving you with a sense of hopelessness.
Faces Blurred opens up with confusion “Everyone’s faces are starting
to blur into one. I don’t even know what’s real anymore” and ends with
anger “You took from me what I needed most.” It’s a downward spiral of
defeat.
“You were my inspiration. You keep me wanting to be alive.” – Those
lyrics from the ep’s title track makes this the most powerful,
impressive song on the ep. It’s a constant battle of emotion and
uncertainty, with no graspable end.
It’s hard not to be left with wanting more when the ep comes to an
end. I look forward to seeing what this band delivers next.
