This is a big stupid horrible thing: sodden, lunkish noise-rock-sludge that almost sounds like Cavity playing classic rock covers at times, if you can fathom such a thing. Burly opener ‘Guts’ drunkenly traipses shit across the place for eight minutes, mixing spoken word slurs with Dystopian garglings and the occasional big, bolshy riff that you might once have found on a Pearls And Brass album. The remaining tracks don’t dick about quite so much, the blasting spite of ‘Seizure’ not even breaching the 90-second barrier while the other two just about manage three minutes apiece thanks to one (‘Ritual’) being an unerring bout of prowler-at-the-door drone and the other (‘Scum Fee’) a thing that starts all Floor-ish before descending into blitzed-out chaos and basically sticking around and kick your head in for a bit longer because it bloody well wants to. Pretty frickin’ great, all told, and now I fancy a physical copy along with whatever else they’ve put out…
