Human Pyramids - s/t - CD (2012)

Labels: self released
Review by: Ted Reynolds

I don’t know if it’s the proper artwork, or just whatever was sent in, but I really like it, it’s really nice looking.
Having just listened to a review submission of indie that sounded like all it really wanted was a 2 page spread in NME, and a place at SXSW, this is much more refreshing. It is the kind of indie that has the potential to be insanely
pretentious, but instead is triumphantly good. Mainly instrumental, apart from some choral style singing, and
filled with a million instruments. I can’t think of what it sounds like, because my frame of reference is
pretty slim, but I suppose it has the Dirty Projectors sort of thing (and I can only really take that from the
Rise Above record, because it’s the only one I’ve heard).
I like it a lot, it makes me happy.
