This is a band from Latvia – possibly the first band from Latvia that I have consciously heard. They started out as a two-piece and are now a five piece with two drummers and they play post punk/rock with the focus on instrumentals. I have struggled to get into it. The first track is alright and initial signs were good with its dark undertones. However, I was put off by the operatic vocals towards the end of the track. A lot of these tracks lean towards post rock and while they shun a lot of the typical post rock elements I am put off by the various vocals which are on about half of the tracks. Without intending to be harsh, I also find some of the lyrics a little clumsy and the slow keys-led track “Rockstar” is horrible. The end result is that I only like this in fits and starts.
