This is an indie folk duo from Tampa made up of Vic Alvarez (ex-Knockdown, who I’ve not heard before but put out some stuff on Kiss of Death Records so I’m pretty sure they didn’t sound like this) and Michelle Keating who has a very gentle and soothing voice. There are five songs here and it’s all fairly straightforward and lovely. The general feel is sparse and downbeat and the best song on here may be the most downbeat and sad one – “Paperbag”. However, it is run close by “Somewhere” which has a slightly more poppy feel. It’s all quite pleasing on the ears though and suits a late night listen.
