This is really weird; I’m not sure if that’s a complement or not. Quirky one minute, the next sounding like the theme music from a teenage sci-fi TV show that I would never watch. Track two ‘Sweet Amnesia’ sounds like it’s a medley of about five different songs, as if they’ve broken into a school music classroom and are trying out all the instruments. ‘Month Of Sundays’ settles things down a bit and the album seems to continue in this way – a bit of crazy and then a normal song – repeat – switching between female and male vocals (why not try both at once?). Opening up myself to all sorts of criticism, they sound to me like the sort of band that “alt” girls listen to, the gender parallel of me sitting in my room trying to grow a beard and listening to Codeine. I have to say that I like lots of aspects of the album – I just can’t deal with how messed up it is.
