Pullman Porter play folk punk; it’s mainly one guy but there are backing singers on occasion. The EP starts off underwhelming but I’m getting into it by track three ‘Red Crosses’. I’d like to see a bit more variance in the guitar – I guess the point is to provide a repetitive groove on which the vocals have centre stage but it just gets monotonous. The standout tracks are easily the ones when others join in. ‘The Celebration of Idiocy’ is a final highlight with some solid lyrics. Handnumbered and nicely presented, this is alright.
