Labels: Boss Tuneage
Review by: Oli Saunders
Here’s another rerelease on Boss Tuneage, in their attempt to make lots of 80s and 90s punk easily available and repromote bands that perhaps have been forgotten (and don’t deserve to be). The promo sheet labels Indian Dream as anarcho/peace punk but for me they are right out of the more mainstream 80s rock movement, like a punkier Tears For Fears. Fast paced and with an edge to it but extremely catchy and uplifting, things slow down for the seven minute ‘Carrie-Ann’ but soon speed back up again. The vocals are a delight and the riffs hook me in. Though there’s something missing which stops this being amazing – I think it’s that the songs aren’t really memorable enough after they finish. Overall, for a CD containing the bands LP and two 7”s and all in all, this is very welcome.
