Labels: Demons Run Amok
Review by: Oli Saunders
I really like the riffs that New Mortality conjure but all in all it’s still just tough guy hardcore which I tend to avoid at all costs. Does it really do anything more than provide a wild mosh party for “anti-hipsters”; does it really provide more than a brief catharsis from the mundane? If so then great but I jumped ship ages ago. Songs about love and hate and being trapped, by the end I did catch myself nodding along, I did enjoy the guitar solo on ‘The Future Is Ours’, and I would say that New Mortality seem to do a pretty good job at making music to mosh to; however, I still can’t take this album or genre seriously.
