This is a Catalan band playing the kind of driven and bouncy indie rock that I like. It’s verging on punk rock but not quite there, in a similar way to Superchunk. The vocals are raspy and a little ragged and it all rolls along with pace. They have plenty of kick too – some of the songs have quite a rollicking rhythm section going on which makes me think they like Japandroids. This is good – I can happily listen to this right through without skipping any tracks. If the year was 1993 I’d be telling my friends they should be listening to this band asap. However, they all gave up on new music ages ago and they tell me there’s no good bands around anymore – they will barely give Superchunk a chance post-“On The Mouth”. I’ll tell them anyway. It’s something I probably never would have heard had the band not sent it in for review so thanks to them for sending it in!
