New Doe songs are something worth getting excited about and there are three on this latest tape. Not only that but it comes with a zine that they put together themselves. There is a lineup change this time too with a new guitarist having replaced the original one but the quality of their previous releases is matched again here. First song “Unrested” is typically driven indie rock led by their powerful rhythm section and nice interplay between Nicola and Jake on the vocals. This track has the most 90s feel of the three. “Why Are You” is as fiery and driven as anything they have done in the past while the last song is a little more on the melodic side. This is a band that I feel the need to take note of every time they put something new out and they don’t look likely to let anyone down anytime soon. I am hopeful that a full length is in the offing as they might well put out something special.
