Idle Class play melodic hardcore that attempts to tug at you heartstrings with its diary-esque lyrics and frequent use of gang vocals. I like it initially but it’s the kind of music I get fed with after a few songs. I’m no connoisseur of the genre; I place it in the Dropkick Murphys/Flatfoot 56 ballpark without the Celtic influences. Decent but predicable melodies, multiple vocalists which seem to be the cornerstone of the music, I think more emphasis needs to be placed on the instruments as the vocals are the focal point throughout.
