I am all for bands showing a bit of character. Dick Venom & the Terrortones have taken this to the extreme. Described as psychobilly, I had to look this up to find out what it is. Punk rock with gimmicks amirite? They sound like a poor and slowed down version of The Dead Kennedys, singing about sci-fi. Not for me but I am a fan of the artwork that comes with the CD, made out in the size of a 7” booklet. Now if only they could put that much effort and talent into the songwriting.
