Here’s a record that would have been hovering around the upper echelons of my top full lengths of last year (what an accolade by the way) had I stumbled across it sooner as it was released in November. Hooper are ex various other bands – at least one of them was in Bailer. They play the kind of melodic punk/indie rock that has a bigger kick and crunch to it than most and harks back to 90s bands like Seaweed. The A side is particularly strong and is hit after hit. I think this record flew under most radars but is well worth your time if you want some top notch power poppy punk rock.
