What is the cruelest month? I’ve always thought it was October because when the clocks go back on that last Sunday, you’re officially at the furthest point from when you’ll next be able to sit in your garden with your trousers off listening to Status Quo and drinking a nice refreshing case of Ruddles County.
Others profess a distaste for July, claiming the prevalence of trouserless drunks screaming along to ‘In The Army Now’ has an adverse effect upon their nerves.
Either way, one of the twelve months is definitely the cruellest and Whisper Room set out to answer this question on their new album. Sadly, after six tracks of pleasantly meandering instrumental electronica, they’re no closer to an answer than they were at the beginning.
