Labels: Thrill Jockey
Review by: Captain Fidanza
An opening of terrifyingly incessant, terrifying beeping is followed up by something slightly more salubrious as yet another release from Thrill Jockey hits the mark.
Electronica and the Classical World don’t sound like immediately comfortable bedfellows, but with influences coming from Greek and Middle Eastern music along with (apparently) the occasional funk soundtrack from seventies Blaxploitation, this is an interesting and diverse release which successfully melds the ghosts of the past with the spirit of the new.
Brilliant.
