Labels: self released
Review by: Oli Saunders
No sooner do I review the demo than I see a “proper” release on the band’s bandcamp page. Might as well give it a spin. I like how the last track on the demo has become the first track on this new and slightly more polished release – it’s the next chapter in their experimentation. The second song, Phantoms is downright miserable and Codeineesque during its short duration. Probably the highlight of the EP for me. Into The Fuzz is then completely different and almost chirpy. I like the contrast. ‘Too Late Early On’ a noise laden interlude which leads into ‘Pale Fire, Darkening’, which is merely a renamed track from the demo. So overall it’s three new songs. Plenty of potential still but it is lacking something at the moment.
