The second full-length from Call Of The Void is some sturdy if vaguely unmemorable stuff. They play that mucky au courant brand of hardcore that touches base with crust, grind and whatever else, but while the overall sound is fairly amenable it’s not done with enough loathing or panache to put them into the same league as Cowards, Torch Runner or Dead In The Dirt. Also, it feels like it goes on for bloody aeons (ages rather than Ageless, like) and music like this should never, ever feel like it’s dawdling.
