Another brisk, one-sided 7″ from To The Point. Musically we’re in familiar territory, this being fast, direct, thoroughly mauling hardcore for fans of Infest and Low Threat Profile. Its chosen form is lumpy, unpleasant and somewhat toadlike, but despite all this it is hard to fault or ignore thanks to the skill with which it’s performed and the unshakeable conviction of its motives. Lyrics skirt a fine line between sarcastic and depressing, touching on issues like gun laws, the people you work with, the grim politics of water and other things you’re perhaps apt to ponder in the wee small hours when sleep won’t come and everything is already seeming a hundred times worse than it was in the daytime. Maybe not something that we all need, then, but those who know they do certainly know they do.
